Ernie Carter

Ernie has been in the aviation world for many years, firstly with British Airways and latterly with easyJet. He has vast experience and knowledge of all aspects of airline operations. The past nine years he has specialised in winter operations regarding airports, airlines, equipment manufacturers and service provider operations.

 

As a Winter Operations Manager at easyJet he was responsible for ensuring that the airlines 110 European cold weather airports were adequately prepared for the winter seasons. Ernie has over the years developed a significant global network in the aviation industry where each year he would organise an annual winter readiness conference where 250 attendees from around the world would attend. The conference was an industry leader where the attendees would discuss best practices , new technologies and winter preparations.

 

Ernie has visited a large number of cold weather airports in Europe and North America to ensure he keeps up to speed with new initiatives and concepts for improving operations throughout the winter period. Prior to leaving easyJet he was awarded the airlines operational person of the year.
