Sharon Hodgetts
Non-Exec Director
Sharon's career in aviation, spanning over 30 years, has given her the opportunity to specialise in all aspects of Airport Operations: Airfield Operations, Security, Customer Service, Emergency Planning, Rescue and Fire Fighting, Safety Management and Occupational Health and Safety. Her most recent role as Director of Airfield Transformation and Development saw her lead on the design and construction of major airside infrastructure projects, including; a Runway overlay project, building of new stands over water and a parallel taxiway, seeing each of these through to the ORAT process; transitioning the end products into operational use. Sharon has collaborated with many Airport stakeholders to achieve operational efficiencies and improvements, with Safety being a core consideration in all activities.

With her years of experience as a leader, Sharon has a deep appreciation of the Aviation industry and the challenges and hurdles that are faced by stakeholders that form part of the entity that is an Airport. Some of Sharon’s core strengths are her ability to see the bigger picture, to transform the challenges into opportunities and to take others on the journey to achieving results.
